Privacy Policy

This site is run by Chris Procopiou. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what happens to it.

The contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, the form collects your first name, last name, email address, an optional phone number, and the content of your message.

That information is used for one purpose only: to read your message and reply to it. It is not used for marketing, it is not added to a mailing list, and it is not sold or shared with anyone for their own purposes.

The message is delivered by email using Resend, an email delivery service, and arrives in a personal inbox. A copy of the delivery record is held by Resend for 30 days. If a message fails to send, its content is written to the site's server logs so that it is not lost, and those logs are held by Vercel, the site's hosting provider.

Spam prevention

To stop the contact form being used by automated spam, the site records the IP address of anyone who submits it, together with a timestamp. This is used only to count how many submissions have come from one address in the past hour.

These records delete themselves automatically once they expire. Nothing is kept beyond the short window needed to make the check work, and the addresses are not used for anything else.

Cookies

The site sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work, including one that remembers you have seen the cookie notice, and one that keeps the site owner logged in to the private administration area.

The site runs no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party marketing tools.

Embedded video and audio

Some pages include video and audio players embedded from YouTube, Vimeo and SoundCloud. These players are provided by those companies, not by this site.

When a page containing one of these players loads, those companies receive your IP address and may set their own cookies or store data in your browser. That happens under their privacy policies, not this one, and this site has no control over it and no access to the data they collect.

If you would rather avoid this, most browsers allow third-party cookies to be blocked, and browser extensions exist that prevent embedded players loading at all.

Where the site is hosted

The site is hosted by Vercel. Content for the homepage gallery and the Work page is stored with Supabase. Both companies process data on behalf of this site and under contract with it.

How long information is kept

Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as they are useful for the conversation they relate to, and are deleted when they are no longer needed. Spam prevention records delete themselves within an hour. Server logs are kept for the retention period set by the hosting provider.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to ask for it to be corrected, and to ask for it to be deleted. You can also object to it being used.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please raise it using the contact form first, so it can be looked into.

You also have the right to complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
